Fountain speaks at the 2014 King Day Celebration in North Lawndale
where he grew up and where Dr. Martin Luther King once lived.







John W. Fountain is available for speaking engagements as well as writing and mentoring workshops. A noted writer and inspirational speaker, he has given presentations to elementary and high schools as well as colleges. He is a frequent speaker at churches and community organizations. 

He has given been a keynote speaker at grassroots and  also faith-based organizations and educational programs. Among the groups where Fountain has given keynote addresses are America's Second Harvest, Breakthrough Urban Ministries, State of Wisconsin King Day Celebration, Baylor University's Chapel and many others. His work as a writer and professor and also social commentator and published author make him a much sought-after speaker. 

He continues to share his insight and expertise on broadcast television news stations and has appeared locally on ABC, NBC, CBS and WTTW (public television) as well as Chicago Public Radio, Moody's WMBI and radio stations across the country. But most of all, he enjoys speaking to young people, sharing his story of triumph over poverty and circumstance growing up on Chicago's tough West Side. His is a story of hope we can all share.
